If you are in the middle of planning the wedding that you have been dreaming of since you were a little girl you might have found that you have no time to eat right or to exercise to lose weight. This is the one day in your life that you want to look your best, but all the junk food you’re eating because you have no time to prepare something healthy could lead to you gaining weight. If you want to be sure that your dress will still fit you on your wedding day check out these weight loss tips for brides.
1. Get your meals delivered

While you might love to cook and usually eat healthy meals there are only so many hours in a day, and all those hours spent planning your wedding means there’s no time for cooking as well. So have someone else do it. Sign up to a meal delivery service and they will deliver wholesome healthy foods to your doorstep so all you have to do is heat them up and eat them.

    2. Get an exercise bike

If you’ve traded your daily gym time for more time planning then you need to fit that exercise in somewhere. So buy or borrow an exercise bike or a treadmill. Set it up at home and cycle or run while you’re reading or watching television.

        3. Ask for help

Getting stressed is a sure fire way to gaining weight, and planning a wedding is one of the most stressful activities there is. So ask for help. Whether it’s your mom, your mother-in-law-to-be, your husband or your bridesmaids, just ask for others to help you with your preparations. This isn’t a task you need to do by yourself, and your loved ones will feel special if you involve them in planning your big day.

            4. Detox

If your wedding day is fast approaching and you are feeling bloated then now is the time to detox. Cut out refined sugars, dairy, gluten and alcohol, drink plenty of water and eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Not only will this help you feel less bloated it will also give your skin a lovely glow too!

Weight Loss Tips for Night Shift Workers

If you work the graveyard shift you might be wondering how you’re ever supposed to lose weight and get fit and healthy, since most gyms run exercises classes in the daytime when you’re sleeping.

The good news is that it can be done, it just takes a little planning. Here are some weight loss tips for night shift workers to get you started.

                1. Get enough sleep

Research has shown that shift work can be bad for your health as it upsets your circadian rhythms. To combat this you need to make sure you get enough sleep. On shift days try and sleep when you get home from work, while the rest of the house might be waking up to start their day you still need to treat it as your night. If you’re not working a shift then take a nap to try and catch up on sleep. Sleeping kick starts your metabolism, which helps you lose weight.

                    2. Meal planning

When you’re short on time it’s all too easy to get through the day on junk food and unhealthy snacks. To make sure you eat right you need to take some time at the start of every week to decide what you are going to eat each day. Write down what you plan to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as healthy snacks on the days you will work as well as the ones you won’t.

Go to the store and buy all of the ingredients you need to make your meals so that you have everything you need in the house.

You might even want to spend a day making your meals and putting them in the fridge or freezer ready to reheat during the week.

                        3. Pack a lunch

Now you know what you are planning to eat all week it’s easy to pack a lunch to take with you to work. This will help you avoid visiting 24/7 fast food joints. You should also consider taking breakfast with you so you can eat it towards the end of your shift. That way when you get home you can just go straight to bed.

                            4. Avoid the midnight donut run

It doesn’t matter whether you work a day shift or a night shift there are always friendly souls who bring in cakes, and candies and all manner of unhealthy snacks to help everyone get through the shift. But high-sugar snacks will only give you a temporary boost so prepare your own healthy snacks to take with you.

                                5. Workout on the way to work

Many people think they need to hit the gym at the end of their shift, because that’s what lots of day shift workers do. But if you’re a night shift worker and you’re trying to lose weight you need to workout on the way to work, not on the way home. A good cardio session before your shift will give you the energy boost you need to make it through the night. Workout on the way home and you’ll just find it hard to sleep when you go to bed.

Quick and Easy Weight Loss Tips for Busy Moms

As a mom you probably feel like you have no time for yourself and that you’re being pulled in all different directions. Throughout the day you have to be a mom, a wife, maybe an employee or a volunteer and it’s not very often that you find the time to just be you, or to do something just for you.

Whether you want to lose the weight you gained during your pregnancy, or just get fitter so it’s easier to look after and play with your children we have some quick and easy weight loss tips for busy moms to get you on the right track.

                                  • 1. Start the day out right

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so make sure you start every day with a healthy breakfast. If time is short then a bowl of wholegrain cereal or a couple of slices of wholewheat toast is perfect. When your children are older make a date to eat breakfast together every morning and make eggs or omelettes to eat together.

                                  • 2. Plan the family menu

Menu planning is really popular right now because it allows busy moms to create home cooked meals for the family even if they have to spend the day at work, or ferrying the kids around to different activities and sports.

Each week spend an hour planning what your family will eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the week ahead. Think about leftovers too, rather than having everyone clear their plates (which is a sure fire way to weight gain) use the leftovers to make a meal for the following day.

Planning your meals this way saves time at the grocery store as you’ll only need to go once a week and you’ll know exactly what you need to buy.

You can also save time by batch cooking most of the meals in a single afternoon and then popping them in the fridge or the freezer to reheat when you need them.

For some great meal ideas and healthy recipes (including exciting ways to use your leftovers) invest in a copy of the Biggest Loser Family Cookbook.

                                  • 3. Get active with the children

If you’re looking at your day ahead and wondering how you can possibly fit in time to take an exercise class or go to the gym don’t worry, there are still ways to exercise. Instead of a formal program you just need to think about how you can get active with the children.

If you have a baby think about investing in a jogging stroller, you can jog by yourself around the local park, or you could join a stroller fit group.

If your children are older then do what they do, take them to the park and have a go on the swings yourself. Or play tag, or soccer or just throw and catch a ball together. If they’re old enough to ride a bike buy yourself one and go on bike rides together.

Your kids will enjoy the time you spend playing together and you’ll get fit and healthy without even realizing it.
